University of Kentucky vs. University of Alabama

Kristine Miller, who is a Science Teacher at Frederick Douglass High School was selected to have a chance to throw for the Eckrich $1 Million Challenge for Teachers. She was chosen to participate in the throw during the University of Kentucky vs. University of Alabama game on November 11, 2023. In her sixth year of teaching, she has great passion for bringing the very best to her classroom. She noted that every year is a new experience; while the content stays the same, every group of new students brings a twist to the classroom. She loves getting to know her students and hopes she can make them passionate about the content and stay interested in learning. She plans to use the winning funds to help supply science classrooms with supplies they need to help enhance hands-on learning.
