About the ProgramEckrich and the CFP Foundation’s Extra Yard for Teachers are teaming up again this college football season to fund classroom projects and support educators nationwide. For the first time, Eckrich is sponsoring Extra Yard Makeovers at five schools, each receiving $50,000 to renovate a learning space of their choice.
Also back for the 2025–26 season: The $1 Million Throw! At four major matchups, nominated teachers will take the field to throw a football for a chance to win up to $1 million in grants for local schools.
The Eckrich Teacher of the Year contest also returns, honoring one outstanding educator with $5,000 for their school and a trip to the College Football Playoff National Championship game.
We’ll wrap up the season by celebrating educators all weekend in Miami leading up to the big game this January.
