About the ProgramEckrich and CFP Foundation’s Extra Yard for Teachers teamed up again this college football season to help fund classroom projects, and support educators nationwide for their tireless commitment to their students, ensuring they have the necessary tools to succeed in the classroom.
Our $1 Million Challenge for Teachers returned for the 2024-2025 college football season! In partnership with Extra Yard for Teachers and our valued retailers, Eckrich invited nominated teachers (and educational heroes) onto the field at 6 of this season’s biggest matchups. These teachers had the opportunity to throw a football for a chance to win up to $1 million in grants to fund local schools.
This season, our Eckrich Teacher of the Year contest returned, honoring one exceptional educator with a trip to the College Football Playoff National Championship game and $5,000 for their school.
Our favorite way to end the college football season is by once again supporting educators. The final donation of the season will be made during the 2025 College Football Playoff National Championship in Atlanta when Marty Smith shows off his throwing skills during our on-field challenge.
