TOAST: Sliced French bread brushed with olive oil in a pan.
SAUTÉ: Red pepper and chopped smoked sausage in a separate pan.
COOK: Until lightly browned.
TOP: Toasts with bean dip. Layer on smoked sausage and pepper mixture. Then pass these feisty little apps at room temperature.
